Micro (and tele)scope

People on earth have been looking up at the sky

and searching for stars since ancient times.

They named, observed and measured the distance from the planets.

Kept their eyes on luminous dots in the heavens to picture the structure of the world.

It was because looking up was the only way for them to look down on the earth.

There was this reversal and contradictory composition of looking up and down.

Now airplanes fly, while man-made satellites float above.

By looking down on the earth, I look up to the universe.

And by looking through a lens, I find where I stand.
